It was great to have Karl Wixon come in to speak to the Year 7 and 8 group this morning, in preparation for the boys' preparing and presenting their pepeha.
A pepeha is about identifying yourself.
A mihi is a greeting
Another key concept looked at:Turangawaewae:
Turanga - place
Waewae - feet
"A place to stand" - feeling like you are respected, you belong, you are confident.

Welcome back Year 8 boys and staff. Hopefully you had a great time on camp!
- Please remember all boys are expected to attend two chapel services per term. The first is this Sunday, 15 February. Please be seated quietly in the chapel, wearing your dress whites, for a 7 pm start.
- This is the first weekend of Saturday sport. Please refer to 'The Week Ahead' for game details and ensure you are where you are supposed to be, at the required time and wearing correct summer sports uniform.
- Year 7 boys organise your gear for camp over the week end, if you have not already. Get plenty of sleep.
